2023 – 7A Swimming

Prelims will be

pool (by the main scoreboard) and the girls will swim in the east pool by the
diving well). Finals will be swum in one 10 lane course, the east pool.

Parking:

Hotel:

  • While this year it was not in the budget, I encourage splitting
the cost between the boys and girls groups for hotel rooms. This will allow for
swimmers to relax between prelims & finals rather than staying in their car
    for 3 hours.
    • You may even
want to consider spending the night Tuesday night before the meet because of
      the early report time.
  • They can rest, play games, watch tv.

Heat
Sheets

  • Heat
sheets are free to download at 2023 State
    Meet Landing Site

and will be e mailed to teams as well as on Meet Mobile. They will be posted a
couple of days in advance of each session for each prelim session, and within a
few hours of the end of prelims for finals. Limited numbers of copies will be
on sale at the meet for $10 per session.

Food

  • The Booster
Club and Coaches will provide snack bags that include healthy snacks, like
nuts, fruit, yogurt, protein, water and Gatorade.
  • Athletes are
    able to bring anything else.

Volunteering:

  • A great way to watch your
athlete compete is by volunteering. GHSA is still looking for volunteers this
will allow you a free pass to watch the event. (State Meet Volunteer and Signup Link)
