Martha Gingles (Room 2213) Head Coach

Coach Gingles’s has been the Head Swim Coach at North Cobb High school since 2022. She swam competitively for 10 years in Elementary (North Miami Neptunes) & High School (Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs).

Coach Gingles has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Georgia College & State University for Painting, Printmaking, and Fiber work. She then obtained her Education Degree from Kennesaw State for Social Studies and English Language Arts/Reading. She has been teaching since 2014 (4 years in Houston, Texas and since then in Georgia).

When she’s not in the classroom or at the pool, Coach Gingles can be found spending time with her husband (Marshall) and 2 sons (Jude & Patrick), reading, painting, or hiking.

Coach Sara Burns (Room 2224) Assistant Coach

Coach Burns is in her first year as Assistant Coach for the North Cobb Swim & Dive team. She swam both competitively and recreationally throughout her childhood. She earned her degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Auburn University. She is in her second year teaching Algebra in the Freshman Academy at North Cobb. When not at school or practice, you can find Coach Burns reading, spending time with her husband, Ian, or planning a trip somewhere!
