It's State Time
The time is coming upon us. State is just around the corner! Below you will find the information needed over the next week and a half.
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS TO:
Individual Events: Tiani, Jeanette, Jazz, Kale, Aiden Relays:
- Girls 200 Free Relay: Tiani, Shay, Parker, Jeanette
- Girls Medley Relay: Tiani, Shay, Livia, Jeanette
- Boys 200 Free Relay: Jonathan, Kale, Aiden, Carter
Alternates: Lily & Jackson Practice: To prep for state there will be no dry land this week. Practice will follow: o Monday (1/23): 7:40-9 o Tuesday (1/24): 7-9 § Arrive at the pool by 7 to have a mandatory meeting about state next week. We will try to not take up a lot of your time. o Wednesday (1/25): 6:30 – 7:45 o Thursday (1/26): 7:40 – 9 o Monday (1/30): 7:40 – 9 o Tuesday: NO PRACTICE § There will be a state dinner Tuesday night after diving takes place. § We are looking for a host house for dinner. Please let Coach Gingles or Armstrong know. There will be sign up for food and drink.
DIVING – All Diving Events Will be Conducted at Westminster Tuesday, January 31, 2023
Arrival: 7:00 AM (I will let you know if this changes)
o 7:30-8:15 a.m. 6-7A Boys Warm-Up
o 8:30-10:30 a.m. 6-7A Boys Diving
o 10:30-11:15 a.m. 6-7A Girls Warm-Up
o 11:15 a.m. -1:30 p.m. 6-7 Girls Diving
SWIMMING – All Swimming Events Will be Conducted at Georgia Tech Wednesday, February 1, 2023 – 7A Swimming
- Arrive at the pool by 7AM - we must enter as a team.
- 7:30 am – 9:00 am – 7A Swimming Warmup
- 9:30 am – 1:00 pm – 7A Swimming Prelims
- 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm –7A Swimming Warmup
- 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm –7A Swimming Finals
- Prelims will be conducted in two 10 lane courses. The boys events will swim in the west pool (by the main scoreboard) and the girls will swim in the east pool by the diving well). Finals will be swum in one 10 lane course, the east pool.
Volunteering: If your athlete is swimming take a look at the following website and sign up to volunteer if you have not yet. It is a fantastic way for you to get in for free and see the event.
