Meet Results from Today!!! and practices next two weeks
Parents,
I got the meet results almost immediately after the meet, so I wanted to send them out immediately. Please share with your swimmer, as some of them may not have gotten their splits in live time.
North Cobb ended up finishing 2nd today, in surprising fashion. The boys scored 311 points to finish 4th, and the girls scored 392 points to finish 3rd. Combined, the team scored 703 points to take 2nd place, which was 60 points more than the overall 3rd place finisher Allatoona.
If you're curious how that happened, our girls finished 38 points behind Allatoona but were 167 points ahead of Hillgrove (and 220 points ahead of Kell). The boys were 53 points behind Hillgrove, and 45 points behind Kell, but defeated Allatoona by 97 points. So if you look at the point spread, thats how we finished 2nd. Pretty cool.
By the way, today was the first meet this season that every swimmer scored points in at least one event. So every swimmer today can truly say they contributed to our point total in todays meet. You can see everyone's times, place they got, and points they received on the attached report.
Congratulations go out to Kale Mullins for qualifying for the first time as an individual in the state meet, swimming a 59.21 in the 100 Backstroke. We also had two more Cobb County qualifications today, as Shaylee Potts qualified in the 200 IM, and Emma Talis qualified in the 100 Free.
