Parents,

I let time slip by without giving you an update on last week's meet. We had more state qualifiers, as well as we beat a team that (whispering) we probably weren't supposed to.  

Our girls qualified in the 200 Medley Relay (2:04.61), and swam an even faster time in the 200 Free Relay (1:52.52) than they did when they qualified the first meet.  The teams were Jeanette Liem, Jamie Hockey, Cecile Davila, and Tiani Johnson in the Medley Relay, and then Jamie, Annabel Steinle, Tiani, and Jeanette in the 200 Free Relay.  Jeanette Liem also qualified for the state meet in the 200 IM (2:20.81) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:12.04) to go along with her qualifying time in the 100 Backstroke from the first meet (1:04.26).  Wow!

Our boys just missed qualifying in the 200 Medley Relay by 12 hundredths of a second, but we know they'll get it soon. Bentley Huff did qualify in the 100 Butterfly (55.33) and the 100 backstroke (59.75).  

Altogether, the boys scored 303 points to finish second overall, beating mighty Lassiter by 6 points!  The girls scored a total of 273 points to finish 4th , so giving us an overall combined total of 576 points, which put us in 3rd place overall. Not bad, but both teams have areas we can still improve.  

I'm excited about our meet this weekend, I'll send info on that shortly.  Please be ready to help out where we need you, as hosting a meet is a big responsibility.
